Winter Art Experience in Capri

While tourists from around the world are drawn to Capri in the peak summer months, very few have discovered its charm and appeal in the winter months so far. With the crowds gone and the nightclubs closed, Capri offers a more personal experience: a calming getaway and an opportunity to enjoy nature, hikes, an even more local and authentic encounter – even a bit of winter swimming if the weather is good! – and naturally, art courses in plein air as well as classroom lessons.

Day 1

Arrive at Naples Capodichino Airport on a Thursday (please arrange for your flight to arrive lunchtime/afternoon, and provide us with your flight details), where your airport transfer will be waiting to pick you up and take you to the port. Your boat ticket is included in your holiday; tickets will be collected and provided to you upon arrival at the port, before boarding.

Once you arrive on beautiful Capri’s port of Marina Grande, your transfer service will take you and your luggage to enjoy welcome drinks and refreshments and have a brief orientation before we leave you to get settled and freshen up.

Your Thursday evening includes an arrival dinner as part of your holiday experience.

Day 2

On site art lesson

You will wake up in your room in the villa to find breakfast vouchers for an Italian-style breakfast in one of the bars in Capri’s famous Piazzetta. Following breakfast, your first art lesson begins at 10:00am, and ends at 12:30.

Lunchtime is free for you to wander, enjoy and explore, until your afternoon lesson begins at 2:30pm.

Your Friday evening is free.

Day 3

After breakfast you’ll have a Saturday morning art lesson, until lunchtime. Your lunchtime and afternoon is free to enjoy exploring, hiking, and more… if you need any recommendations we will be happy to provide tailor-made suggestions for you. Your Saturday evening is free for you to enjoy as you wish.

Day 4

On Sunday, your day begins with a morning art lesson – your final of your stay. After your lesson you’ll break for lunch, and your afternoon will be a review of the art work produced by you and other students during your stay: a kind of exhibit of your own to celebrate your masterpieces. The celebration will be concluded at Yuu Bar, a wine bar where you will enjoy an aperitivo drink and nibbles on your final evening. You can enjoy the remainder of your evening here, or you may continue your evening with dinner on your own, as you prefer.

Day 5

On Monday, departure day, please note that you may be able to arrange a later checkout upon request or arrange to have your luggage held so that you may enjoy the day on the island if you have a late flight.  You’ll leave with a departing gift to remember your art experience and continue your creative journey. We will arrange your airport transfer with you for a stress-free return to the airport.
