Capri Art Experience was borne from a love and appreciation of Capri. During the height of the pandemic, Caterina found herself taking art classes as a way of managing the stress of the coronavirus global emergency by indulging in a passion she always wanted to explore – all while enjoying her favourite place. Caterina soon realised the benefits this experience could offer to so many others, and designed an experience on the beautiful island of Capri for those who were looking for more than just a holiday, but a more meaningful, cultural, and personal experience; a means by which to engage and interact with their beautiful surroundings.
Caterina has been visiting Capri for 25 years. She knew Capri was the proverbial love of her life from the moment she first saw the sea by Via Krupp. She has a special bond with this place and knows the island intimately; with Capri Art Experience, she hopes to share insider knowledge with visitors to ensure they leave with wonderful memories of this magical place. Italian, American and British, and fluent in both Italian and English (French and Spanish competency as well), she can also provide translation and interpretation assistance before and during your experience.
Caterina’s professional background is in global digital transformation, including innovation, service/experience design, strategy, leadership, change management and more. She is the author of “Distributed Leadership and Digital Innovation”, based on her MBA research at Warwick Business School. She calls both London and Capri home.
Luca Carrani is an artist and interior designer from Varese who was transfixed with the beauty of Capri, where he now lives and works. He expresses his love for Capri through his artwork – his “little visible poems” – and captures the magic of the island as it manifests before his eyes through acrylics, oil pastels and water colour. His art courses cover various techniques and styles; he believes Capri, with its endless shades and tones, is the best place to understand art.
Luca attended art school from age 12 and earned his university degree in Design in Milan, Italy. He has been featured twice in Yacht Capri Magazine, and his designs have won awards at the 2020 Capri Movie Festival. Luca’s most recent exhibition was in September 2020 in Anacapri, in collaboration with the Associazione Capri in Arte.
