Having set itself a target of being “Covid-free” by 1st of June, Capri is ahead of schedule and nearly the whole of the island is vaccinated –
including any personnel you’ll encounter in your stay. There is a national mandate for all visitors to wear a mask in both open and closed public spaces unless seated at a bar and restaurant for consumption, to remain as safe as possible. The villa and premises in on which your course takes place are regularly cleaned and sterilised. Finally, Capri Art Experience also can help you arrange a “Test and Go” Covid test prior to your return flight should you require one.
April through June and September to November is comfortably warm and filled with sunshine. Nights might be a little cool, so it’s best to bring a layer or two. Summertime is hot and sometimes humid, both in the daytime as well as the evenings. However, depending on where you’re from, you might find even the winter months warm (many islanders can be found swimming all year long), and the quiet of the island once the tourists have gone is peaceful, beautiful and inspiring.
If you are staying in one of our partner hotels, you’ll be provided a hotel breakfast directly from them. If you are staying in one of our rooms in the villa where the course takes place, we will provide you with a voucher for breakfast in a carefully selected Italian bar or bakery that we have vetted for you. With regards to lunch and dinner, there are spaces in our programme of activity that have allowed you time to explore the island on your own and dine in restaurants and cafés of your choosing. Those which have been hand-picked by our team are among the island’s best restaurants and cater to a variety of tastes (learn more by exploring our Partners, here (partner page link here)). If you have any food allergies or intolerances please let us know at the time of booking and we will liaise with the restaurants on your behalf for those lunches and dinners.
Yes, in both the villa and our partner hotels, but please bring your own travel adapters and chargers.
Yes, but please confirm with your mobile service provider to ensure that your plan that works in Europe and is enabled for roaming if appropriate. Smart phones will work with wi-fi, which is widely available in Capri and our villa. You’ll be able to use Whatsapp and other communication applications to stay in touch during your holiday.
Tipping is generally included on your bill. It’s customary to leave a few extra coins, up to 10%, in addition to the service charge.
Your holiday package includes transportation from Naples Capodichino Airport to the Island of Capri, and back. Upon arrival you’ll be guided to the funicular which takes you to Capri town centre in approximately six minutes. Once here, Capri is nearly entirely pedestrian and you can explore on foot. Be advised there are inclines and hills; heels are best left at home in exchange for flat shoes and we recommend that our guests are fit and healthy enough to walk for approximately a couple of hours. If you’d like to explore Anacapri there is both a taxi and bus service, and the journey takes approximately 15 minutes. We provide transportation and drive you and your gear to painting locations. Please note that airfare is not included in the holiday price.
The full one-week experience includes 20 hours of art tuition, but you are free to skip a lesson to do some exploring if you would like to go sight-seeing. The programme for the week includes time for personal sightseeing and exploration as well.
We will supply everything you need, from pencils, paint, brushes, paper, boards, paper towels, and more. You’ll also be given a small starter kit to continue your artistic development after your holiday is over.
Yes; our instructor is accustomed to teaching students of various levels and backgrounds. No previous experience is required.
Our classes have a maximum capacity of 8 people, so that we may provide quality experiences and appropriate time and attention to individual learning journeys.
If your travel partner isn’t interested in taking our art course, we will gladly provide recommendations of things to see and do on the island while you are in class.
We’d be happy to hear from you; please use our form on the Contact page (Contact page link here), or drop us a line at [email protected] . We’ll be in touch by email or to arrange a phone call with you.
